初中生英语课外阅读现状调查研究——以石河子市S中学为例

A Study on the Current Situation of English Extracurricular Reading of Junior Middle School Students——Take S Middle School in Shihezi as an example

本研究采用问卷调查法,研究石河子市某中学初中生英语课外阅读现状,调查结果表明:(1)初中生对英语课外阅读持积极态度;(2)阅读材料多为趣味性读物,材料主要来源于教师发放和网络;(3)课外阅读时间少,主要集中在周末与寒暑假;(4)初中生缺乏课外阅读策略;(5)初中生课外阅读存在的主要问题为词汇量匮乏、语法差与缺少时间,同时肯定教师在课外阅读中的指导作用。本研究旨在了解当前初中生英语课外阅读现状,并提出相应建议,供一线教师参考。

Applying investigation inventory, this study conducts the survey on the current situation of English extracurricular reading of junior students. The results has found that： （1） students hold a positive attitude towards English extracurricular reading; （2） students prefer to read interesting and funny materials which mainly come fromteacher or Internet; （3） the time for extracurricular reading is not enough, mainly on weekends and vacations; （4）students need strategy instruction for extracurricular reading; （5） the major problems encountered by students include include poor vocabulary, grammar, and lack of time. However, students affirm the importance of teachers＇ guidance.Based on the existing problems, this paper proposes some optimizing strategies for teachers.
