Behind Emulation: Wenyuan Hall and Its Stele Pavilion with a Helmet-Style Roof

通过对北京故宫文渊阁建筑群的文献研究和实地调查测绘,并与清乾隆时期在北方陆续建造的用于庋藏《四库全书》的文源、文津和文溯3座藏书阁建筑群进行对照分析,探讨清代4座皇家藏书阁建筑群布局的模式,以及碑亭采用较特殊的盔顶形式的原因。

Through literary research and field surveys of Wenyuan Hall in the Forbidden City in comparison with the other three library buildings to store Siku Quanshu （Imperial Collections of the Four Branches of Literature） built in the rein of Qianlong： Wenyuan Hall, Wenjing Hall and Wensu Hall, the paper examines the pattern of architectural layout of the four imperial library buildings in the Qing, and explicates the use of a unique helmet-style roof for the stele pavilion at Wenyuan Hall.
