Designing Cool Products with the Industrial Thinking:Discussion with Zhu Feng about the Film Conceptual Design of Animal World

笔者采访了《动物世界》视觉设计师朱峰,解析概念设计与电影工业化之间的关系。电影概念设计的重要性体现在两方面:一方面,概念设计是电影工业化流程中的重要前期步骤;另一方面,概念设计是虚拟、科幻类电影剧本视觉化的第一步。概念设计师需要运用工业化的思维设计酷的产品,为电影"概念"打造坚实的设计基础。

The author interviewed Zhu Feng, the visual designer of Animal World, to analyze the relationship between conceptual design and film industrialization. The importance of the film conceptual design is embodied in two aspects： On the one hand, conceptual design is an important step in the process of film industrialization. On the other hand, conceptual design is the first step in visualizing the script, especially in science fiction and fantasy films. Zhu Feng insisted that conceptual designer need cool products with the industrial thinking, which lay solid foundation for the ＂concept＂ of the film.
