An Analysis of ABET for Environmental Engineering Technology and Similarly Named Programs in the USA and An Enlightenment

本文简要介绍了美国ABET工程技术专业认证通用标准的主要特点,重点解析了美国ABET环境工程技术专业及专业群认证标准,并且与我国教育部高等职业教育(专科)环境工程技术专业简介中的教学目标和职业能力进行了对比。最后得出美国ABET环境工程技术专业及专业群认证标准对我国高职环境工程专业建设的启示。

This paper gives a brief introduction to the main features of the criteria for accrediting engineering technology programs and focuses on an analysis of ABET program criteria for environmental engineering technology and similarly named programs. A comparison is made with the environmental engineering technology program＇s teaching objectives and professional ability in the program introduction of China＇s Education Ministry. Finally, an enlightenment of the USA＇s ABET program criteria for environmental engineering technology and similarly named programs is obtained for the higher vocational college education in China.
