Objective To study the effect of combined treatment with mesalazine and enema in patients with ulcerative colitis and its influence on quality of life. Methods Ninety-eight patients with ulcerative colitis who received treatment in a hospital from February 2016 to March 2018 were selected according to the distribution method of the random number table method and divided into control group (n=49) and observation group (n=49). The patients in the control group were treated with oral mesalazine. The patients in the observation group were treated with mesalazine and dragon's blood dying and enema. The changes of inflammatory factors, quality of life, and treatment effects were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in TNF-α, IL-6, CRP, physiology function, physiological function, body pain and other quality of life between the two groups (P〉0.05); after treatment, the above indicators in the observation group All were significantly better than the control group, with significant differences (P〈0.05). The total effective rate of clinical treatment in the observation group (91.8%) was significantly better than that of the control group (71.4%), and the difference was significant (P〈0.05). Conclusion The effect of the combination of mesalazine and enema in the treatment of patients with ulcerative colitis is more effective than that of mesalazine alone. At the same time, it can also reduce the inflammatory response, improve the quality of life.
