A New Exploration of Empowerment——the Practice of Self-help Group for AIDS Patients

本文运用赋权理念，分析了艾滋病患者的困境与需求，介绍了艾滋病患者自助小组设计的理念、小组目标、工作过程及介入策略，探讨了帮助艾滋病患者提升意识、提高能力的方法。

Using the concept of empowerment, in this paper the authors mainly analyze the predicament and needs of AIDS patient, describe the designation of self-help group, the process of group work, the goal of self-help group and the strategy of intervention. In addition, the authors also discuss the approaches for helping AIDS patient to raise consciousness and to strengthen their capabilities.
