Objective To explore the relationships between the positive rate of Helicobacter pylori( Hp) and age and gender in physical examination populations in Baiyin District. Methods A total of 16,722 cases of physical examination in Baiyin District between January 2015 and December 2017 were selected to detect the Hp infection rate. Results Among the 16,722 health examinees,7092 cases were infected with Hp,so the infection rate was 42.41%. The rate of Hp infection was 48.63% in male health examinees, which was significantly higher than that in female ones( P〈0.05). The rates of Hp infection among populations aged 20 to 29,30 to 39,40 to 49,50 to 59 and 60 to 70 were 31.78%,38.49%,41.68%,49.18% and 65.93%,respectively. The rate of Hp infection increased with the age of patients( P〈0.05). The fasting blood glucose( FBG) of Hp infected people was( 4.98±1.22) mmol/L,which was significantly higher than that of those without Hp( P〈0.05). The level of high density lipoprotein cholesterol( HDL-C) was( 1.10±0.35) mmol/L,significantly lower than that of those without Hp infection( P〈0.05).Conclusion The positive rate of Hp is not only relatively high in the physical examination populations in Baiyin District, but different in gender and age distribution. Hp infection has some effect on glycolipid metabolism.
