Nightscape Lighting in the Protection and Development of Suzhou Pingjiang Historical Block

苏州平江历史街区是古城内迄今保存最为完整、规模最大的历史街区,文物古迹和历史遗存众多。当前,历史街区的夜间景观日益受到广泛关注,然而,苏州平江历史街区夜景照明呈现设计手法单一、光色混乱、眩光严重、缺乏地域特色等问题。该文从地域文化保护与发展的视角,不仅关注街巷、河道、建筑等实物景观,还要实现文化意境、传统活动、非物质文化遗产等非实物景观的保护与发展,使得夜景灯光营造既能实现对历史街区的保护,又促进其在当代的发展。

Suzhou Pingjiang historical block is the most complete and largest preserved district in the ancient city, it has numerous cultural relics and historical heritage. At present, the nocturnal landscape of historical blocks is widely concerned, however, the nightscape lighting of Suzhou Pingjiang historical block exists some problems like single design method, confused lighting color, discomfort glare, and lack of regional features. Based on the perspective of protection and development of regional culture, we not only focus on substance landscape such as street and lane, channel and building, but also intangible landscape such as cultural artistic conception, traditional activity, and non-material cultural heritage, which make nightscape lighting realize the protection of historical block and promote its development in the contemporary.
