“海洋亚洲”的废婢运动——以近代中国广州、中国香港、新加坡为个案

A Study on Anti-mui tsai Movements in Modern Maritime Asia: On the Cases of Modern Guangzhou,Honkong of China and Singapore

摘要 一问题的提出 婢女是近代中国社会中从小被父母或其他监护人出卖或抵押给第三方从事家政服务的底层女性群体。在英文著述中,这一华人群体常被译作"mui tsai"。这是粤语"妹仔"的音译,字面含义是"小妹",实际上是粤港澳一带对婢女的俗称。由于海外华侨华人大多来自广东、福建等东南沿海地区,因此婢女在海外常被称作"mui tsai"。 Mui tsai refers to the that Chinese girl who has been transferred to As another family with the intention she would be used as a domestic servant.Chinese migrants’network expanded,more and more mui tsai went abroad with host,or through marketing,and societies they became a special vulnerable female group in various Chinese in Maritime and Asia.In the historical societies circumstance of social transition,Chinese society overseas Chinese carried out vigorous antimui tsai movements female in Maritime and Asia.Anti-mui women’s tsai movements liberated the the oppressed group promoted movements self-awakening.In context even of colonialism,anti-mui inequalities,and gender,class,and tsai combined game ethnic implied the dynamic among different interest groups.
