摘要
陈寅恪先生曾言:
一时代之学术,必有其新材料与新问题,取用此材料,以研求新问题,则为此时代学术之新潮流。治学之士,得预于此潮流者,谓之预流(借用佛教初果之名)。其未得预者,谓之未入流。此古今学术史之通义,非彼闭门造车之徒,所能同喻者也。
Interpretation of Thirteen Hongs’ images of Qing dynasty inclines to art and social culture influenced by Chinese export artwork and port history research. It is a reasonable result of interest multivariant and field deepening while research is getting further away from the founder’s original purpose. The crux of the Thirteen Hongs’ matter is introspection of Hong merchants’ success and failure. And the spiritual connotation of image materials is economy system while art and social culture the external characteristics. Only through substantial melting of economy connotation and social culture characteristics as well as theoretical construction of iconology,the historical writing of Thirteen Hongs’ images can reach a new high.
