阐述了利奇(Leech)的"礼貌原则",分析了礼貌原则的六个准则,探讨了礼貌原则与"中庸"思想、"仁爱"思想、"利他"思想以及中国传统"尊卑伦理观"的契合点,由此证明了礼貌原则虽然由西方学者提出,但对于汉民族的语言也同样适用。

The six norms of Leech＇s politeness principle were analyzed. The coherence points of the politeness principle with Chinese traditional ideas of the golden mean of the Confucian school, the kindheartedness, the altruism and the ethics of superiors and inferiors were studied. It is accordingly proved that the politeness principle is applicable to the language of the Han nationality though it was proposed by western scholars.
