垓下之战是楚汉战争时期一场决定性的战役。韩信针对楚军战斗力很强的特点,巧妙排兵布阵,采取正面佯攻、两翼包抄的战术,将楚军击败,然后围而困之。入夜,韩信令汉军四面唱起楚歌,楚军人少粮尽,军心涣散,纷纷逃亡。项羽大势已去,在逃跑途中自刎于乌江。韩信创造的"五军阵"及"四面楚歌"心理战法被后世奉为经典,为历代兵家所推崇。经过垓下决战,结束了历时四年的楚汉战争,统一了中国,奠定了汉王朝四百年基业。

Battle of Gaixia was a decisive battle of Chu-Han War. According to Chu army＇ s characteristics of combat effective- ness, Han Xin well organized by taking the strategy of feinting on the enemy＇ s front and attacking the flank. He defeated the Chu ar- my and bottled up them. At night, Xin ordered the Han army to sing songs of Chu. Chu army was lack of soldiers and food, and con- sequently they slacked and ran away one after another. Xiang Yu was a busted flush, and he killed himself on the way of running at the Wujiang River. Han Xin created the psychological strategy of ＂Five Military Arrays＂ and ＂Besieged on All Sides＂. It was held by later generations as a classic and was prized by military history. After Battle of Gaixia, the Chu-Han War which took 4 years was over, and the whole China reunited. It established Han dynasty＇s century-old heritage.
