After hundreds of years, the folk custom of 'crossing the sky festival' seems to have been nowhere to be found in the public. From the perspective of folklore studies, this old custom in Xiangyang seems to have broken. After liberation, Xiangyang has never heard of the custom of 'wearing the sky festival'. According to the records, the most distinctive content of the folk custom should be 'looking for stone'. In particular, the 'small white stone with holes can be worn' by Zhuang Chuang, which is 'stone with Grottoes eye' in Xiangyang folk dialect. Speaking of 'grottoes and stones', there are related colloquial expressions in Xiangyang folk dialects. The common saying about 'stone of grotto' may not be heard in many local scholars, but it is the common saying of the people. It was once widely spread in Xiangyang. It is the culture of the people’s mouth and ears. It is the oral folk custom of 'wearing the day'. It is a 'custom fossil' left in Xiangyang folk. It needs not only to study it, but also to carry it out as part of the new era of 'passing through the sky' as part of Xiangyang’s 'intangible cultural heritage'.
