The Skopos Theory of Functional School was brought up by Hans J. Vermeer. It emphasizes on the skopo of the translator and the function of the translated text. The purpose of translation determines the whole process of translating and its strategies. The aim of the translation is the highest standard for evaluating the translated text. The discussion on the translatability and untranslatability is still not over. The Skopos Theory provides the study on the translatability of poems a different perspective and more possibilities for poem translation.
