Chinese temporal prepositions hold a large share in preposition system. The internal semantic system of temporal prepositions includes objective prepositions and subjective prepositions, which can be further divided into several sub-categories. The semantic types of this system are developing in a stable way, its members are changing from complicated to simple and its basis is made of core prepositions. The complexity of temporal prepositions is mainly due to internal factors, but also some external reasons.
