On Reinforcing Cultural Confidence Through Exploring the Values of Refined Traditional Chinese Cultures in a New Age

中西传统文化对人与自然、与他人(社会)、与自身这样三重矛盾关系的解决有着截然不同的价值立场。中华传统文化给出的基本价值原则可概括为:天人合一、人我合一、欲理合一。进入新时代的中国,立足当今世界和改革开发的实践,以马克思的历史唯物主义理论为指导,积极开掘天人合一、人我合一、欲理合一这三大价值原则的现代性,对其进行创造性转化和创新性发展,可以为中国特色社会主义现代化新征程中如何坚定文化自信提供来自思想史的丰厚营养。在全球化的背景下,它还可以为全球问题的解决提供中国方案、中国路径和中国智慧。

Traditional Chinese and Western cultures have distinctly different values for the resolution of the three contradictory relationships between man and nature, with others(society) and with oneself. The basic values embodied in traditional Chinese cultures can be summarized as: the unity of nature and man, that of man and man, and that of desire and reason. With China into a new era of, on the basis of the contemporary world and the practice of reform and development, and under the guidance of Marxist theories of historical materialism, we shall actively explore the modernity of the three unity, launch innovative transformation and development of the unity, and provide rich nutrition from the history of thoughts on how to strengthen cultural self-confidence in the new journey of socialism with Chinese characteristics. In the context of globalization, it can also provide Chinese solutions, paths and wisdom for the resolution of global problems.
