The types and hazards of gaseous volatile organic compounds （VOCs） are introduced in this paper. It is stated the various methods for the treatment of VOCs including common combustion, adsorption, biological, photocatalytic oxidation, and membrane separation technology. And the research status and prospects of various methods is also discussed.
