This paper gives a brief review on ＂Research on the Development of Characteristic Economy in Tibet-Tibet Tourism＂founded by ＂comprehensive research project on the history and current situation of Tibet ＂, a major special commissioned project of the national social science fund. This book analyzes the status,the role and the existing problems of developing tourism in Tibet,and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions. This book is the latest research on the development of tourism in Tibet.
