Architectural Design as Modern Institution

现代社会在社会分工日渐细化的同时,也对社会生产的整合能力提出更高要求。从这一角度来看,建筑设计与其说是一种创意性工作,毋宁说是一种社会性的大规模生产,涉及各种社会资源的综合组织。本期主题＂建筑设计作为现代组织＂,一方面将建筑设计看作生产活动,关注建筑设计活动组织方式的类型及其对建成环境的影响,一方面将设计机构作为研究对象,针对不同类型的建筑设计组织机制,探讨其历史形成和变迁的轨迹、机构内部或机构之间的管理、组织与相互作用，等等。

In the modern society, while the social division of labor is becoming more and more refined, it also puts forward higher requirements for the integration ability of social production. From this point of view, architectural design is not so much a creative work, but rather a social mass production involving a comprehensive organization of various social resources. In this issue, the theme＂Architectural Design as Modern Institution＂, on one hand, considers architectural design as a production activity, concerning the organizational form of architectural design and its impact on the built environment. On the other hand, it takes design institute as the research object, in terms of different types of organizational mechanism in the field of architectural design, to explore the trajectory of its historical formation and shifts, the management within or between institutions, and its organization and interaction.
