This paper analyses the preliminary research on robotic spatial printing techniques. A case study of ＂Cloud Village＂, an outdoor project at the China Pavilion at the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale is fully discussed from the stage of experimental research, digital design and digital fabrication, exploring the potential of rural construction by adopting robotic digital fabrication on the aspect of fabrication method and material.
