The local land is the important space for Jia Ping-wa＇ s literary writing. It reflects Jia Ping-wa＇ s imagination and reflection on its past, present and future during the new times. Jia Ping-wa loves the traditional local culture and concerns the local reality. This is his historical mission and cultural fate as a responsible writer. His literary world is sad as well as beautiful, hopeless as well as hopeful. The concerns of reality and cultural critique implied his works make his novels become a symbol of imagination of the new local cuhure and creation of the new local literature.
