摘要
"五四"前后,随着新文学革命先驱对传统旧剧的批判和新剧的提倡,戏剧革新的努力和探索不断推动着中国现代戏剧的孕育。洪深在总结前期《华伦夫人之职业》和《赵阎王》演出失败的教训后,选择王尔德的戏剧《温德米尔夫人的扇子》改译为戏剧《少奶奶的扇子》,并将现代戏剧的导演和组织方式运用到后者的排演中,在中国戏剧舞台取得了巨大成功。《少奶奶的扇子》的成功演出也标志着中国具有了完整的现代戏剧的艺术形态,宣告了话剧的正式诞生,是中国现代戏剧发展史上里程碑式的事件。
around the May Fourth Movement of 1919, modern Chinese drama began to develop with the criticism of traditional Chinese drama and the promotion of Western style plays. Hong Shen, one of the founding fathers of modern Chinese drama, had translated and staged Oscar Wilde's Lady Windermere's Fan with modern directing and organizing methods after the fiascos of the stage performances of Mrs. Warren's Profession and Zhao Yanwang earlier on. Hong Shen's stage experiment was met with a huge success and the success symbolized the birth of modern Chinese drama.
