现代艺术的自我确证及其理论困境

The Self-reassurance and Theoretical Dilemmas of Modern Art

现代的自我确证发源于其时间意识的觉醒,通过借助理性进行反思和批判,现代从自身内部获得了证明其合法性的依据。这一自我确证的过程在现代艺术领域同样上演。波德莱尔将现代艺术从对古典范本的摹仿中解放出来,转而在其内部寻求创作规范,现代艺术由此开启了独立化与专业化之路。在实践领域,日趋抽象化的现代主义绘画和经历了形式主义转向的西方文论都贯彻了这一理路,彰显了其自律性。但是,由于贯彻着现代世界的主体性原则,现代艺术的自我确证同样导致了其自身的理论困境:从艺术与其他文化部门的关系来看,现代艺术与生活世界及普通观众相分离;而从其自身来看,现代艺术内部失去了发展的动力,并受到后现代浪潮的冲击。如何使现代艺术走出困境,已成为值得思考的问题。

Modernity＇s need for self-reassurance stemmed from the awakening of its consciousness of time.By virtue of reason to reflect and critique itself,modernity has obtained the basis to prove its own legality from inside.The process of self-reassurance took place in the domain of Modern art as well.Baudelaire liberated Modern Art from imitating ancient models,and searched for standards within itself.Thus Modern Art started the process of independence and specialization.In the field of practice,Modernist painting and western literal theories internalized this logic and revealed its autonomy with the constant process of becoming abstract and formalized.However,since implementing the principle of subjectivity of modernity,the self-reassurance of Modern Art has also brought about theoretical dilemmas.From the relationship between art and other parts of human culture,the gap between Modern Art and life world and the public has been deepened.And from art itself,Modern Art has lost internal driving force and suffered from the shocks of Postmodernism.It becomes a question to bring Modern Art out of these dilemmas.
