On Strategies of Cultivating Cross-Cultural Awareness in College English Teaching under the Background of “One Belt And One Road”

"一带一路"发展倡议的制定与实施为跨文化实践工作的开展与互动带来了全新的机遇。当前高校英语教学中,学生跨文化意识薄弱,通过带领学生了解更多世界文化、引导学生学习古今优秀文化、增设沿线国家特殊语种课程、采取针对性的课程教学方法、鼓励学生参与文化交际活动加强高校英语教学跨文化意识的培养。

The formulation and implementation of the development initiative, ＂One Belt And One Road＂, has brought new opportunities for the development and interaction of cross-cultural practice. In the current college English teaching, students are weak in cross-cultural awareness; therefore, there is a need to cultivate their cross-cultural awareness through the following measures： making students learn more about world culture, guiding them to learn the excellent culture in ancient and modern times, adding the courses of special languages of the countries along the route, adopting targeted teaching methods, and encouraging them to participate in cultural communication activities.
