On the Artistic Architecture Features of Han Buddhist Architecture—— Taking the Four Famous Mountains of Buddhism in China as an Example

佛教建筑在中国文化历史和建筑史上占据十分重要的地位,中国四大佛教名山——五台山、峨眉山、普陀山、九华山代表了汉地佛教建筑的不同风格,其独特的佛寺布局方式、建筑艺术特色,建筑材料的运用,以及人文自然一体的建筑观念,体现着深厚的文化底蕴和较高的艺术价值。

Buddhist architecture occupies a very important position in the history of Chinese culture and architecture. Wutai Mountain, Mount Emei, Putuo Mountain and Jiuhua Mountain, the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, represent the different architectural styles of Han Buddhist. Their unique Buddhist temple layout, art characteristics in architecture, the use of building materials, and the architectural concept of unifying humanity and nature all reflect the profound cultural heritage and high artistic value.
