摘要
巴尔加斯·略萨的小说《继母颂》采用了文字与图像相结合的独特叙事手法,讲述了一段发生在秘鲁中产阶级家庭内的乱伦之恋。本文试图在略萨的这一美学实验与其持有的政治意识形态之间建立联系,从视觉文化的角度分析小说中大量存在的视觉元素,结合时代背景和作家的从政经历,揭示小说的视觉叙事所隐含的政治倾向:倡导个人自由、捍卫私有财产及美化中产阶级生活方式。
In his novel In Praise of the Stepmother, a tale of incest in a Peruvian middle-class family, Vargas Llosa uses a particular narrative method which combines words and images. This article studies the abundant visual elements in this novel to investigate the connection between Llosa's aesthetic experiment and his political ideology. The highly visual narrative, considering its historical background and the author's personal experience in political activities, indicates Llosa's political inclinations towards supporting individual freedom, protecting private property, and beautifying the middle-class life style.
