Objective To observe the application of quality nursing intervention in patients with adverse symptoms using ventilator after operation in neurological ICU ward. Methods 31 patients with adverse symptoms using ventilator after operation in neurosurgical ICU ward of our hospital from December 2016 to May 2018 were enrolled as the study objects, and were randomly divided into the control group (n = 15) and the study group (n = 16). The control group underwent routine nursing, and the study group underwent quality nursing intervention. The duration of mechanical ventilation, length of hospital stay, hospitalization cost and nursing satisfaction degree were compared between the two groups. Results The duration of mechanical ventilation and length of hospital stay of the study group were significantly shorter than those of the control group, and the hospitalization cost was significantly lower than that of the control group (P〈0.05). The nursing satisfaction degree of the study group was 93.75%, significantly higher than 53.33% of the control group (P〈0.05). Conclusions The implementation of quality nursing intervention for patients with adverse symptoms using ventilator can significantly shorten the duration of mechanical ventilation and length of hospital stay, reduce the hospitalization cost, and has high satisfaction degree of patients.
