近年来"边疆学"研究取得了较大进展,但"边疆学"学科构建则处于困境冲突之中,包括在没有一般"边疆学"的条件下出现了构建"边疆政治学"的情况,也有将"边疆学"框定在中国范围内构建"中国边疆学"的情况。走出困境,需要以按照学科构建的一般规律构建一般意义上的"边疆学"为目标,将民族国家作为研究的逻辑起点,并在这一起点上将边界作为研究的核心问题;从边疆现象中揭示边疆规律是"边疆学"的基本任务。

The construction of borderland science needs to have a clear definition of its basic problems. In recent years, great progress has been made in this field,but the two intrinsic impulses in the construction of ＂frontier studies＂ have hindered the construction of it to a great extent：the construction of ＂frontier politics＂ has appeared without the general ＂frontier studies＂ , and it has been framed in the middle. Within the country, many scholars insist on building ＂frontier studies in China＂. According to the general law of discipline construction, it is necessary to start with in general sense,＂ nation-state＂ as the logical starting point of its research, and ＂boundary＂ is the core issue of its research. At the same time, revealing the ＂frontier law＂ from the ＂frontier phenomenon＂ is the basic task of ＂frontier studies＂, and on this basis, realizing the value pursuit of ＂frontier studies＂ serving China＇ s national interests.
