父母教养方式影响着大学生的心理健康水平。当代大学生父母的教养方式显示出一定的性别差异与城乡差异,大学生父亲与母亲的教养方式均以高回应低要求的宽松型(即情感温暖型)为主,也包含部分低回应高要求的专制型(即过度管束与冷漠拒绝型),但并未发现权威型与忽视型,这与大学生的群体特征有关。另外,当代大学生的家庭教养类型以慈父慈母型为主,而非严父慈母型。

Parental rearing styles affect the mental health of college students. The parenting styles of contemporary college students parents show certain gender differences and urban-rural differences. The parenting styles of College Students＇ fathers and mothers are mainly of the loose type （ i. e. the emotional warmth type） with high response and low demand, and also include some of the autocratic type （ i. e. excessive restraint and indifferent refusal type） with low response and high demand, but without right to discovery. The relationship between prestige and neglect is related to the group characteristics of college students. Besides, contemporary college students are mainly family rearing styles and loving parents, rather than strict parents.
