Investigation Report on Sugarbeet & Beet Sugar Industry in Inner Mongolia during 2018-2019. Inner Mongolia Will Become the Largest Beet Sugar Production Area in China

调研表明,2018/2019榨季内蒙甜菜糖厂生产成本为4 600~5 400元/t,与上榨季基本持平,加上副产品抵扣,税后成本大多为4 200~5 000元/t,差异较大;预计内蒙2018/2019榨季的甜菜糖产量将达到75万吨~83万吨,增产27万吨~35万吨,超过新疆,内蒙将一跃成为我国最大的甜菜糖产区,而2019/2020榨季内蒙甜菜糖有望达到100万吨,仅次于广西和云南,位列全国第三。新增的糖将给价格带来较大压力,现货销售将遭遇史上最艰难时刻,熊市格局下,现行价格也已接近企业的生产成本,影响了新建糖厂的开工率,延缓了企业继续生产、行业继续投资建厂的趋势,但从长远来看,内蒙地区的甜菜行业成本优势和生产效率较高的优势依然会促进内蒙甜菜行业的继续发展壮大。

The investigation shows that the production cost of beet sugar factory in Inner Mongolian is from 4600 to 5 400 yuan/t during 2018-2019, which is basically equal to that of the previous production season, withthe addition of by-product deduction, the cost after tax is mostly 4 200-5 000 yuan/t, which differed distinctively.It is estimated that the yield of beet sugar in Inner Mongolia will reach 750 000 to 830 000 tons during the2018-2019, meanwhile the yield increase by 270 000 to 350 000 tons, which will surpass Xinjiang and becomethe largest beet sugar production area in China. The beet sugar yield in Inner Mongolia is expected to reach 1million tons during 2019 -2020, ranking third in China after Guangxi and Yunnan. The added sugar will putpressure on prices. The spot sales will encounter the most difficult time in history. Under the bear market pattern,the current prices are also close to the production costs of the sugar factories, which affect the operating rate ofthe new sugar factories, and delay the enterprises continuing production and the trend of continuing to invest infactories. In the long run, however, the cost advantages and higher production efficiency will still promote thedevelopment of sugar beet industry in Inner Mongolia.
