Lght literature and serious literature are seemingly full of conflicts, especially in character writing. Comparing the character writing theory of ＂three-dimensional character theory＂ with ＂on the composition of character＂, it is found that both sides use contradictions as the keynote. This internal similarity stems from the demise of various subjects in the theory of both sides. The subjectivity of the author and the reader is dispelled by succumbing to value judgment. The resonance of the character and the audience shapes the character writing. This humanism leads to the realist litera- ture tradition inherited by both sides and their bilateral internal conflicts.
