The Me Too Movement, originated in the United States, spread into China in 2018 as several allegations of sexual harassment and assault were revealed against a couple of celebrities successively which sparked tremendous social discussions and debates, mainly in social media platforms such as Weibo and WeChat. On July 27 of 2018,Dr Chang Jiang, ayoung professor of cultural studies from Tsinghua School of Journalism and Communication, publicly invited those people who were once sexually harassed or assaulted to send him their stories or experiences with the purpose to publicize their stories and expereinces in a proper way.As a university professor, what's the underlying consideration and motives of Dr.Chang's engagement of this movement? How did he view the uniqueness, characteristics and future development of Me Too Movement in China?Whether this participatory cultural studies could be viewed as a kind of manifestation of contemporary intellectuals' conciousness and practice of social responsibilities?Bearing these questions in mind,Professor Jin Jianbin, the executive editor of Global Media Journal, interviewed Professor Chang Jiang to elaborate the issues.
