摘要
通过研究交通发展对市场一体化的影响及其内在机制,构建了一个产业增长研究框架,利用省级面板数据,分析了市场分割对产业增长的影响以及不同的交通可达性水平下市场分割对于产业增长的影响差异。研究结果表明:市场分割对于地区产业增长具有倒U型的非线性影响,市场分割水平不高于某个门槛值时,提高市场分割水平有利于当地的产业增长,市场分割程度超过某个门槛值之后,其对产业增长将不再起促进作用,甚至可能对产业增长产生负面影响;交通发展提高了地区可达性,一定程度上能够增强市场分割对于产业增长的促进作用,即交通发展可能会影响地方政府行为模式,激励地方政府加强地方保护以实现市场分割的产业增长效应。基于此,中国交通发展只是促进市场一体化的必要物质条件,而非充分条件。
An industrial grow th framew ork is built by studying the impact of transport development on domestic market integration and its underling mechanism. The study of panel data of provinces show s that there is invert-U shaped curve shaping the impact of market segmentation on regional industrial grow th.When market segmentation has not reached a threshold,increasing segmentation w ill more likely promote local industry grow th. With segmentation continuously increasing to reach the threshold,market segmentation w ill probably restrain local industry grow th. With higher regional accessibility due to transport infrastructure constructions,market segmentation has stronger grow th effect,w hich implies that transport development may lure local governments to carry out more protective implements to achieve grow th effect by domestic market segmentation. Therefore,the development of transportation in China is only one of the necessary material conditions to realize the market integration rather than a sufficient condition.
