The Huangma Uprising in Hubei in November 1927 marked an important page in the history of the Communist Party of China. The Fourth Front Red Army,one of the three main forces of the Chinese Red Army of workers and peasants,and the revolutionary base areas of Hubei,Henan and Anhui,all were originated from the uprising. The uprisings in many places at that time have failed or failed to start at all. Why did the Huangma Uprising,in which no regular army participated,succeed under the very difficult conditions？ From a global prospective,the paper makes a detailed study of the complicated factors of various local social forces before and after the Huangma Uprising. The paper will explore the question by comparing and analyzing the successes and failures of the uprising,the composition and characteristics of the leaders.
