Comparison of Education Foundations of Chinese and American Universities

在高水平大学和"双一流"建设的背景之下,高校需要充足的资金支持,而教育基金会正在成为高校筹措社会资金的重要来源。与美国相比,我国高校教育基金会运作尚不成熟,在组织架构、资金运作和队伍配备等方面还存在差距。必须形成独立的组织管理体系、科学化的资本运作机制和专业化的基金会管理团队,从而提升我国高校教育基金会的筹资能力和管理水平,为高校各项事业的健康发展提供坚实保障。

While China is encouraging universities to become first class and have top disciplines, financial support for universities should be sufficient. In the context, education foundations are becoming a fundamental source for university fund-raising. Compared with American Universities, Chinese universities are lack of experience especially in organizational structuring, investment and personnel management. In order to enhance fund-raising capacity and management level of these foundations and promote the development of universities, Chinese universities must set up an independent management system, enhance the investment model and build a professional team with higher efficiency and cooperation.
