Study on the Singapore's "Common Values" and Its Cultivation Path

新加坡"共同价值观"是新加坡历史、文化以及时代背景等因素共同影响的产物,其形成历经了一个长期的过程。总体观之,新加坡"共同价值观"主要蕴含五个方面的内容:一是国家至上,社会为先;二是家庭为根,社会为本;三是社会关怀,尊重个人;四是协商共识,避免冲突;五是种族和谐,宗教宽容。五个方面相互联结,互为支撑,旨在维护新加坡国家的统一以及种族、宗教的和谐发展。通过多年的持续努力,新加坡"共同价值观"的教育已逐步形成一条面向全体国人,由执政党与政府统领,学校、家庭、社区、新闻媒体和法律部门共同推进、凝聚合力的培育之路,并取得了显著的社会成效。

The formation of the ＂common values＂ in Singapore has gone through a long process, which is the product of the common influence of the history, culture and the development of the times in Singapore. In general, the ＂ common values＂ of Singapore mainly contains five aspects ： first, the priority of country and society ; second, the family is the root, the society is the base ; third, the social care and respect for the individuals; fourth, the social consensus, the avoidance of the conflict ; fifth, the racial harmony and the religious wide capacity. The five aspects are interrelated and mutually supportive, aiming to maintain the unity of Singapore and the harmonious development of race and religion. Through years of continuous exploration, the cultivation of ＂common values＂ in Singapore has gradually formed a way of promoting and gathering joint efforts by the ruling party and the government, the school, the family, the community, the news media and the legal department, and has achieved remarkable social results.
