The Chinese nation has left many valuable art forms and spiritual wealth for all mankind in the long historical development. As an important part of Chinese traditional culture, Chinese traditional auspicious symbolic patterns are also the national treasures of the Chinese nation. In the field of modern design, localization and nationalization of design become an important trend, and interior designers started pay more and more attention to exploring a new way of how to combine the traditional elements in modren design style with professional design rules. Based on the study of traditional auspicious symbolic patterns, this paper aims to explore the strategies, methods and value of traditional auspicious symbolic patterns in interior decoration, and to call for the return of eastern civilization.
