在文章中介绍了目前中国港口建设的快速发展 ,尤其是集装箱码头建设、深水航道和大型深水泊位建设 ,港口建设的科技成果、港口工程技术规范的编制和水运行业的信息技术。文中还简要介绍了中国港口发展的近期目标、长江口深水航道二、三期治理工程、上海港大洋山港区和小洋山港区的建设。

The paper presents an introduction to the fast development of ports in China, especially the construction of container terminals, deep water channels and large scale deep water berths, the scientific research achievements in port construction, the compilation of technical codes and specifications for port engineering, and the information technology in water transport sector. The paper also presents briefly the targets of the short term development of ports in China, the second and third phases of the deep water channel regulation project at the Yangtze Estuary, the construction of Dayangshan and Xiaoyangshan port areas of Shanghai Port, the construction programme of Shenzhen Port and the prospect of development of information technology for Chinas ports.
