Mullins Effect and Its Reversibility of LDPE/EPDM TPV under Compression Mode

摘要 采用动态硫化法制备了低密度聚乙烯(LDPE)/三元乙丙橡胶(EPDM)热塑性硫化胶(TPV),并对其微观结构、压缩Mullins效应及其可逆回复行为进行了研究。结果表明,LDPE/EPDM TPV中EPDM硫化胶粒子尺寸为3~5μm,均匀地分散在刻蚀样品表面;LDPE/EPDM TPV单轴循环压缩过程中存在明显的Mullins效应,提高TPV中的LDPE含量及测试中的压缩应变,Mullins效应均趋于显著;提高热处理温度,可显著提高TPV压缩Mullins效应的可逆回复程度。 Thermoplastic vulcanizates(TPV)based on low density polyethylene(LDPE)/ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer(EPDM)blends were prepared by dynamic vulcanization.The microstructure,Mullins effect under compression mode and its reversibility were investigated systematically.The results showed that the crosslinked EPDM particles,with the dimensions of 3-5μm,were dispersed evenly in the etched TPV surface;Mullins effect could be observed in the compression stress-strain curves of the LDPE/EPDM TPV during the uniaxial loading-unloading cycles.Increasing LDPE content and compression strain,the Mullins effect of the LDPE/EPDM TPV under compression mode was increased obviously;moreover,the reversibility of Mullins effect was improved with increasing heat treatment temperature.
