Discussion on the development characteristic and strategy of newly—established universities

新建本科院校是我国高等教育的重要组成部分之一,其显著特征是地方性和多科性,新建本科虽然改革发展的条件和积极因素不断增多,但一些旧问题和新挑战也在交叉显现,呈现出一系列新的阶段性特征,要实现又快又好的发展,须主动适应经济社会发展的需要;强化思想意识;立足区域,谋划发展,推进学校发展方式转变。

Newly-established universities are the important component of the higher education in China.The major characteristic is that they are regional and multi-subject.Despite the increasing condition and positive factors brought by the reform development,there are certain existing problems and new challenges arising interleavingly,showing a series of new phase features.So as to realize the fast and stable development,such schools must adapt to the demand of the economic and social development actively;muster thought and conception;plan its characteristic on basis of the region,promoting the change of the universities development pattern.
