西方设计初传中国——晚清时期西方编译出版中的设计发端

晚清时期西方传教士出于加强和优化宗教传播的目的,将西方科技和工业文明通过编译出版传入中国。这些编译出版的内容以宗教、风物和科技知识居多。从设计史的视角审视,通过对西方早期来华传教士编译出版活动的梳理与分析,能够析出其中有关西方设计初传入中国的内容,为认识西方设计最早传播和影响中国提供了基础。
