虽然我国在1966—1976年间的诗歌英译受到严重影响,但始终保持了一定的规模,成为当时文化输出的重要手段。这一时期的译介对象为我国国家领袖毛泽东的诗歌和歌颂新中国建设成果的诗歌,意在影响目的语文化中的中国领导人形象和国家形象。集中型赞助人结构确保了对翻译活动的有效操控,小组翻译方式使集体主义价值观得到弘扬。以意识形态和诗歌英译之间的关系为线索,还原当时强调翻译政治功能的社会文化背景,诗歌翻译行为的复杂性和对政治的依附性更加清晰可辨。

Tough damaged greatly during 1966 1976, the English translation of poetry in China still kept moderate scale and became an important way of China＇s cultural output. Translation objects were Chairman Mao＇s poems and those that were regarded as odes to the construction of China after 1949, with the intention of forging positive images of our leader and China. Undifferentiated patronages made sure of effective manipulation to translation activities, and teamwork spoke loud the value of collectivism, which was worshipped then. Based on the relationship between ideology and English translation of poetry, we present poetry translation＇s soeio-eultural background, which stressed political function of translation. Therefore, it is clearer to examine eomplexibility of translation, as well its strong adherence to polities.
