Historical Research on Ruanshe Ancient Village in Shaoxing

绍兴古村落阮社之名缘于晋代"竹林七贤"中的阮籍、阮咸叔侄二人.该村聚秀山水乡于一体,人文历史深厚,形成了独特的水乡文化、黄酒文化、运河文化、古桥文化和名士文化,其民风民俗有着鲜明的绍兴水乡特点,并在累世的传承中不断发扬光大.

The reputation of the ancient village Ruanshe in Shaoxing is attributed to two persons： Ruan Ji and Ruan Xian ofthe “Seven Sages of Bamboo Grove” in the Jin Dynasty. With profound history, the village has formed its unique water cul-ture, yellow wine culture, canal culture, ancient bridge culture and celebrity culture. Its folk customs and folk traditionshave distinct characteristics of Shaoxing, the waterside town, and are continuously carried forward through generations.
