Various rules and regulations formulated by Harvard University on the basis of the Charter have been revised and supplemented, and a standardized university charter system has been gradually formed. The Charter of Harvard University is characterized by its solid legal status, high degree of legal norms and comprehensive content,which provides the most basic and solid guarantee for Harvard Universi ty to administer the university according to law. On the basis of abundant first hand historical data,this pa per investigates the standardization process of Harvard University＇s charter in the past two centuries,with a view to deepening the understanding of the historical process of the formation of the Charter and its impor tant role.
