Research Frontier and Hotspot of Entrepreneurship and Family Business:Bibliometric Analysis Based on BibExcel Word Frequency Software

为了识别近十年国外创业与家族企业领域知识体系的演进发展趋势,文章基于近10年国外创业与家族企业核心期刊的关键词数据,利用BibExcel词频分析法列出了创业与家族企业领域常见的理论视角与话题,并通过趋势分析,推测未来几年该领域的研究方向。研究发现,创业与家族企业领域的理论视角具有明显的多样化特征,主流管理理论增长趋势放缓,而创业和家族企业特有的理论视角得到了更频繁的关注。话题关键词部分,创业研究呈现出了多极发展的趋势,家族企业研究则对传统的话题如传承、代际创业与家族性等保持着一如既往的热度,而战略领域的主流话题在创业与家族企业领域也富有旺盛的活力,中小企业的筹资、投资行为是上升最快的议题,而家族企业与新创企业的非经济作用,如企业社会责任等也受到了更多重视。

Based on the keywords collected from top journals of entrepreneurship and family business from 2006 to 2015, this paper lists a few common theoretical perspectives and topics in the field of entrepreneurship and family business by using the BibExcel word frequency analysis method. Furthermore, we speculated the future research direction of this field through trend analysis. This research found that the theoretical perspectives of entrepreneurship and family business have obvious diversification characteristics, the growth of using mainstream management theories have slowed down, while the specific theoretical perspective of entrepreneurship and family business received more and more attention. Through analysis of topic keyword, we found that, on the one hand, entrepreneurial studies revealed a trend of multipolar, scholars still focus the entrepreneur＇s previous experience, and experience is subdivided into work experience, entrepreneurial experience, institutional experience, etc. , at the same time researches on institutional entrepreneurship, international entrepreneurship and sustainable entrepreneurship has been extended. On the other hand, traditional topics in family business studies such as succession, generational and familiness remains as hot as usual, while topics such as psychological ownership and family firm＇ s donation have attracted more and more attention in the past decade. In addition, the mainstream topics in strategic field are vigorous in entrepreneurship and family business studies. The financing and investment behavior （such as small financial loans and crowdfunding） of small and medium - sized enterprises are the fastest rising topics, besides, the non - economic role of family enterprises and start - ups, such as corporate social responsibility, is also given more and more consideration. Based on our analysis, we suggest that scholars should pay more attention to use particular theoretical perspective to explain family business and entrepreneurship questions. They not only can be used as the complement of mainstream theories but also very proper to explain the unique phenomenon produced by interaction between family and enterprise, from the angle of entrepreneurship to understand the strategic choice of family firms, and from the family＇s resources and motivation to explain entrepreneurial decision. In China, family firms have gradually entered the peak of succession, and facing the pressure of transformation and upgrading, company entrepreneurship has become an important means for them to cultivate their successors and discover new business opportunities. Findings of this paper are conducive to integrating the theoretical perspectives of entrepreneurship and family business, to comprehensively analyzing the role of family motivation and the spirit of entrepreneurship. We hope this research can attract more scholars to study the issue of family business entrepreneurship and also hope that this paper can provide some help for the practice of chinses enterprises.
