Heritage development and contemporary value of water culture heritage in Changzhou Section of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal

京杭大运河是连通我国南北政治中心和经济中心的重要交通动脉,在保护好运河水文化遗产的同时,更应对其进行开发和传承。本文介绍了京杭大运河常州段历史概况及文化内涵,分析了其水文化在当代经济、文化建设中发挥的重要作用,梳理了京杭大运河的文化价值体现:发展旅游经济、增强文化自信、城市精神塑造等,可呼吁广大群众对运河水文化遗产传承进行开发和管理。

Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is an important traffic artery connecting the political center and economic center of North and South China. It should be further developed and inherited during protection of grand canal cultural heritage.The historical overview and cultural connotation of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal Changzhou section are introduced in the paper. The important role of its water culture in contemporary economic and cultural construction is analyzed, culture value embodiment of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is sorted： development of tourist economy, enhancement of cultural self-confidence, shaping of city spirit, etc., the masses can be called for inheriting, developing and managing the canal water culture.
