The Rise and Fall of Bisezhai and its Culture Reconstruction

碧色寨是滇越铁路上一个重要车站,也是滇越米轨铁路与个碧石寸轨铁路的交汇点,至今还保留着20世纪初大量的外国商行、商号、仓储遗址和特色民居,多元的文化在此并存,在当时号称是"小巴黎"。文章结合碧色寨兴衰进行分析,重点梳理碧色寨的兴衰原因,并对其文化重构与当代价值进行阐述。

Bisezhai is a crucial railway station on Yunnan- Vietnam railway. It is the juncture between 1-meter gauge Yunnan-Vietnam railway and 600- millimeter gauge Gejiu-Bisezhai-Shiping railway. In Bisezhai there have remained many former sites offoreign firms, merchant houses, storehouses and local residences during the early 20th century. Due to its multiculture, Bisezhaiwas called “little Paris”. This paper analyzes the rise and fall of Bisezhai, maily focusing on the cause of it, and states on its culturereconstruction and current value.
