《摆渡人》是一部充满意蕴的影片,疾病医疗是其进行现代性批判的一个重要切入点。电影以眩惑的艺术形式表现现代都市人的疯狂、焦虑和痛苦,以心脏病、脑震荡、失忆等一系列身体的疾病隐喻现代都市社会的病症。《摆渡人》给现代都市人的摆渡就是对他们身心疾病的治疗。电影《摆渡人》以艺术的方式暗示,正是人与自然的割裂、激烈的竟存、贪婪的欲望等现代性负面因素的后果导致了现代人和现代社会的病症,现代人只有回归自然、皈依传统和对现代性批判性反思才能获得救赎。

Ferryman is a film full of meaning, whose important point of penetration on critique of modernity is disease and medicine.The film shows the people’s craziness, anxiety and pain in modern cities through dazzle art form, in which a series of body diseases suchas heart attack, concussion, amnesia, etc metaphor the symptom of modern urban society. The film Ferryman implicates in an artistic waythat it is the consequences of modern negative factors such as the separation between man and nature, fierce competition, greedy desire,etc lead to the symptom of modern men and society, and salvation of modern men can only be achieved through returning to nature,converting to tradition and rethinking modernity critically.
