Changes of Initial Consonants and Losses of Trail Vowels

运用笔者在本刊发表的以"打"字为例提出的汉语音义"ang→an→a"演变规律,解释"扬名立万;胡说八道"。"万"是"名声、名誉"的意思,为"闻"(去声)的记音字。"胡"的"乱"义源于"荒、幻";"八"是"咈"的记音字。

Using the rule of sound change from ang to an to a exemplified by DA, which was published in this journal before, the writer wants to explain the meaning of ＂YANG MING LI WAN＂ （扬名立万） and ＂ HU SHUO BA DAO＂ （胡说八道）. WAN （万）,which means fame or honor,is the word to express ＂WEN＂（IN）. ＂HU＂ （ 胡 ） means ＂LUAN＂ （ 乱 ）, which comes from ＂HUANG＂ （ 荒 ） and ＂HUAN＂ （ 幻 ）. ＂BA＂ （八） is the word to express ＂FU＂ （咈）.
