Doris Lessingis a famous writer who wins Nobel Prize for literature in 2007. The Diaries of Jane Somers was written during her later phrase, narrating how a middle aged woman, Jane, to get rid of loneliness and achieve the sell＂ growth and redemption. Based on Erich Fromm＇s discourse about love and Nodings＇ care ethics, the paper attempts to re consider the power of love and care in the novel, pointing out that only love and care can help us get rid of loneliness.
